Sludge from water plants mainly comes from sedimentation tanks and filters. The sludge discharge from the sedimentation tank is mainly composed of chemical flocculation sedimentation. Chemical precipitation is composed of suspended solids, dissolved colloids, organic matter, microorganisms and added water purification agents in the raw water, accounting for about 0.5% to 3% of the raw water volume, and is the main object of sludge treatment in water plants. Compared with softened sludge (such as domestic sludge), flocculation and sedimentation sludge is not easy to dewater, and traditional sludge dewatering equipment is easy to block during processing. In addition, there are many inorganic substances such as sand and gravel contained in the sludge of the waterworks, which will also cause serious wear and tear to the general sludge dewatering equipment.
